Imy husband and I have been in our home since 1980 and due to raising three terrific sons we have never been able to renovate. I still have the lamps that my grandparents had in their home in our living room. My mother was murdered when I was 9 old and I was raised by my grandparents until my grandmother was dying of cancer and then I had to move into my uncle and aunts house. A that time I vowed my children would have everything and live in a stable home with lots of love. Unfortunely my husband worked fo the airlines frontier which went under then delta which has been going backwards. So we never had money to do renovations or buy new furniture. We moved into our home in 1980 with the brown paneling and the marble sinks that are now all cracked up we have the popcorn ceilings that at falling down on the floor when we shower. The cabinets don’t close and below the stove top the drawers don’t open and close as they are warped. He wallpaper is falling of the walls in the bathrooms and dining room. It would really mean the world if we could win this since I would love for my grand kids to be proud of g-ma and g-pas house.
Sincerely, Tom and Marsha armstrong

a $50,000 make over would turn my 1990′s condo upside down. it is about 1100 sq ft with a 7ft ceiling. it has a 6×10 ft deck over looking a pond. i would love to put it on the market but it is so out dated no one would give it a second look. i am sure there are many people who are more deserving of winning this contest then i. however, no one would be more grateful! other then a few scratch-off games this would be my first contest win ever. barbara

Hi HGTV,
I’m a single mother of two! I’m a recent divorcee and had a beautiful house in Alta Loma, Ca. We lost our two story “Dream Home”, due to divorce :(! I struggled and sacrificed for some years working many different jobs to rebuild the “American Dream” and I recently was able to buy a smaller house, (half the size)! However; it is a “Fixer Upper” and “I NEED MAJOR REMODEL HELP” The rooms that “SCREAM” help more than the others are the kitchen and landscaping!! I can not do this by myself but definitely I am willing to help with “my labor of love”!!! I live in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.
PLEASE!!! CAN YOU HELP ME??? I HONESTLY AM YOUR BIGGEST FAN OF HGTV, I’M NOT SELLING YOU A BILL OF GOODS, JUST ASK MY KIDS!!! I ALWAYS WATCH, “PROPERTY BROTHERS”, “HOUSE HUNTERS”,(INTERNATIONAL), “KITCHEN COUSINS” AND ALL OF THE SHOWS ON HGTV!!!!
SINCERELY YOURS,(DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP)

Im 56yrs old & in 2007 I bought this old 1948, big fixer upper house. My dream was to fix it up myself n sell it that was going to be my retirement money. Right after I bought the place the market crashed.I got a good deal at the time but My house is going down in value faster then i can fix it up.Im not under water yet.Every room had wallpaper n paint over it. When i tired to take off the paper the wall was comming off with it,so i painted the walls then textured n painted it.The living/dinning room still have popcorn ceilings.I refinished the hardwood floors. Iv replaced gutters, n most of the windows.Iv remodled both bathrooms from the 70s to the 90s i couldnt afford the bling. My basement family room has shag orange carpet n a laundry room, which has pipes n wirring n holes in the ceiling. I fix the holes with duck tape n paint. All 4 bedrooms had old oil heating seytem that didnt work n they put elec. basebords on top of them. I took out all that n replaced with picawatt heaters. The rest of the house still have elec. baseboards. Both bathrooms n kitchen do not have any heater. My garage doors r wood on springs n they r pretty scary to open. The kitchen is a galley style n is a mystery! on why they moved the sink from under the window to a peninsula in the middle of the kitchen. With the ref. on one side n the stove n dishwasher on the other side.the base cupboards r home made, drop ceiling n florisant lighting. The living room n dinning r open w/big windows n a brick wood fireplace. House is on a double lot,all fenced in, in a great neighborhood. I rent out the bedrooms to pay the mortgage.I need to put it on the market ASAP B/4 I go under water.PLZ HELP,HELP<HELP&%$$@##**)(_ :) PA in PA WA

I pray I will win the sweepstakes, I moved back home with my Mother after my father was killed by a drunk driver. She has a hard time dealing with life. She sits in her recliner saying she wants to sale the house or change it ,but she lives on fixed income and I work 2 part time jobs. Her only joy she has is living on the fantasy of HGTV, so much that I hear how someday maybe we will do that or have that. That I know it’s not going to happen. I want to turn the TV off , because I know we will never be able to afford to do the things that might make her love her home again. So may I win this to make my mom happy again.

Love the HGTV show, I would love to be a Winner. When building our home, the wonderful contractor hit the high road with our money. We managed to complete it, a little bit at a time, by some thing really show how bad our workmanship was. It makes me crazy that we trusted someone with such a big investment, he’s know long gone, but the problems still remain. I can only imagine on how the Brothers would Rescue my home……………It would be so awesome, Its good to have Dreams….

I am 64 years old and live on disability. I live in an older home that has black mold in the bathroom. I have pulmonary asthma and this could affect my health. I once entered an ugly bathroom contest and took pictures of the hole behind my sink that my brother tried to conceal with a plastic easter bunny placemat. hahaha I showed the pictures to a sales rep at a trade show and he jokingly said “I do believe that you have a good chance of winning:. However, I think that the contest was just a gimmick to attract customers. I know that HGTV is for real. Please come and rescue and renovate my ugly bathroom. Merry XMAS

I watch makeovers on HGTV every day. I was wondering if there are ever been makeovers on mobile homes. I live in a double wide mobile in a very large park in Largo Fl. Not being able to do the work myself, my place needs alot of attention. I have been fighting with rodents. I had a leak in my bedroom due to the gutters being filled with leaves so I have peeling wall paper with black mold. My kitchen floor in tiled but all the tiles are cracked and loose and the carpets are original from 1974.
Needless to say I need help. I have been unemployed for two years and only have a SSI check at this time. This could be the start of a new form of renovations.
